Case Study - Swinley Forest, England

Virtual mountain biking to attract new riders and increase cycle hire.

Swinley Forest, Bracknell, Berkshire, UK is one of Southern England's most popular mountain bike trail centres.

In total there are 24km of purpose built, all weather way-marked mountain bike trails that follow the contours of the forest and are suitable for riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced, and for all sorts of bikes from fat-tyred mountain bikes to kid’s bikes.

The forest is designated as a Special Protection Area (SPA) and a Site for Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) keeping riders and nature in harmony.

Action sports can often be dauting to new riders. By showing people what the trails look like in advance, their confidence will be increased, and more riders will get on their bikes (or rent them) to enjoy the fun of the sport.
